Premier Inn Eltham


The brief was to replace a former converted public house into a 91 bedroom hotel, with an in-house 80 cover restaurant.

Planning permission was obtained in March 2015 following extensive negotiations with the local authority and presentation of developing proposals.

A dynamic design palette to one frontage turns a sharp corner following a curved footprint that disseminates in scale and material along a second street façade to respond to an established change of scale from commercial to residential.

An item of local historical importance was retained; the rejuvenation and reinstallation of the ‘Crossways’ sign.
